Drifts right on RHBH & pushes forward for crazy distance!
My new favorite distance driver. I'm a beginner/intermediate player, MA50, and max out at ~ 330ft. So YMMV. The flight is amazing for me. Thrown flat, it will stay flat while drifting right, before fading forward. I'm getting 320+ frequently, and with pretty tight lines. I have not turned it over, even once, although I haven't thrown any anhyzer lines except with strong tailwind. I've played about 20 rounds so far, with 168g and 174g weights.
I can throw the Expanse straight into a 10mph+ headwind, and it will hyzer flip to flat, drift right, and fight out late just like the -2 2 numbers suggest. When I accidently threw it flat into a headwind, it drifted right and kept drifting (until it crossed a four lane street, haha) but it never turned over. I love that I don't have to worry about accidently cut rolling into a headwind. It's definitely more stable than my Halo Maya, another favorite of mine, but which I would even think of throwing into a strong headwind.
I had also bought a Trail a couple weeks prior, to test the hype. Other reviewers (on Youtube) found the Expanse slightly more overstable than the Trail, but that was the opposite of my experience. This Expanse is what I hoped the Trail would be, right out of the box. I'm not dismissing the Trail, as I've heard there's some inconsistency from disc to disc, and I suspect the Trail *might* beat in and fly similarly to my Expanse. One thing all the viewers agreed on was the Expanse landed 20-30 feet beyond whatever discs they were comparing it to, Trail included.
I recently went through Gotta Go Gotta Throw for the first time. I'm very happy with my purchase. I ordered on Sunday and they had my shipment out on Monday. They were able to fulfill my order perfectly with what I asked. Thank you!
Easy enough to flip up from hyzer on backhand but stable enough to handle decent headwind. Forehand can be tricky. I'd compare it to the Special Edition Trail for flight characteristics. Heavily suggest giving this disc a throw!
I got my Expanse at 171g, which works very well with my noodle arm. Thrown on slight hyzer, it gets to flat real smooth with some baby turn followed by gentle fade. Love this disc!
Disc is very long longer than most stable 9 speeds. Quite stable at first, but has seasone relatively quickly to a hyzer flip machine. Straight shot on hyzer when thrown 280-300. Workable, also a surprisingly excellent forehand disc. Great disc!
I was using the Jawz disc (purple one) because it was a little softer for my dog’s mouth (she doesn’t like the really hard discs). They fly good but are a little heavier than the Lattitude’s. The Lattitudes are a little harder discs but my dog has taken to them really well & she loves them. They throw easy & fly a little farther because they’re a little lighter but not so light when it’s windy that they go everywhere. I really like these discs!! Thanks for a great product!
