Sapphire: when the Diamond just won’t cut it.
Reminds me of the Diamond. Little higher speed gives it a little more distance… if you have the arm. Retro plastic feels so good in the hand… just doesn’t hold up as well. Still love it!
Getting back into the sport, this is a good disc for me. My primary driver for 5 rounds on city courses, lay it flat and it lands where I point it after equal turn and fade. Curious to try out other plastics beside BigZ.
I was looking for an understable perimeter-weighted driver and I like what I am seeing. Predictable turn when throwing flat and decent S-turn when putting some trajectory on it. Nice add to my bag.
Just arrived today and my first throw was right down the pipe. Great disc to have in your bag. I ordered this in the 145g to 159g, the disc that arrived at 158g. Due to my low arm speed and lack of distance, the lighter weight really helps me improve my distance. I own a Saint in the Retro plastic but the Opto is sweet. You must carry this disc in your bag.
