Like the name, this disc has natural turn. Similar to the Archon, the Tern is a fast slightly understable disc that is designed for long shot shaping throws. The Tern has always been my go-to disc on an open field drive situation. Dependable always.
Great disc! I really love the Halo star plastic. It seems to get broken in fairly quickly. I really like the Tern better than most distance drivers I've used. The flight plate on it is angled and not flat like a lot of distance drivers so it feels really comfortable in the hand. I haven't thrown it much, but I've gotten some pretty good throws out of it. I've been playing only about 8 months so I don't usually get very consistent throws out of distance drivers. But I'm doing pretty well with this. On a side note, the color combination couldn't be better for me. I usually would never put blue and pink together, but since they are the two easiest colors for me personally to find on a disc golf course, I'm pretty happy with it. It's a great disc that will remain in my bag on regular rotation.
