CD1 is back with a reinvented name. Formerly known as CD2, we've brought the mold back to the spotlight based on popular demand. The letters "CD" in the name stand for Control Driver, putting the player in the driver’s seat and allowing you full control to manipulate and style the disc exactly how you want it to. CD1 makes for a great first distance driver for less powerful or skilled players and an incredibly useful disc for experts, too. Those with a bit more arm speed will find that this disc often will compete for distance with even their fastest drivers, yet the execution feels more effortless and controlled.

CD1 handles just about any wind condition with ease but is most well suited for tailwinds and calmer weather. Players will notice that the CD1 has the tendency to fly similarly to a well seasoned PD, giving you the right amount of glide and shot shaping options but will always maintain enough stability to end with a smooth low speed fade in the end. If you only had one disc to play a round with, this disc would be an excellent choice.

Good for: Backhand, forehand, tailwind, calm weather, amateur distance driver, expert fairway/distance driver, sneaky sneaky bombs

Awesome

Did not specify the color I wanted so I got a pink one... Still, it is an awesome hyzerflip to laserbeam shots machine, top quality plastic. Does not glow a lot for night rounds.

Awesome Disc, stable enough for long controled flexes and it even glows in the dark. Great feel plastic, 100% recommended.

Out of the box flip up

After looking for a replacement to my Halo Savant, I stumbled across the CD1 (my bag is slowly converting to almost all Discmania). I wasn’t quite sure what run to snag in terms of the stability and the shot I wanted, but I ended up going with the Swirly S-Line. Out of the box it flips up with about 70% power (I throw around 400 max distance) and actually turns quite a bit more than I was expecting. I am still learning how much hyzer I need to put on it to get a flip up to flat with a fading push, but for now I really really like how easy it is to get some significant turn to the right without it completely burning over. I have seen on YouTube and other sites that this is a great disc for learning clean flip up forehands and as a pretty **** fh thrower (270 max, if I keep the nose down) this thing is really nice for that too.

I will probably try a C-Line version of this in the future when this S-Line gets a bit too flippy but for now this is one of my favorite new additions.

I would say the flight numbers for MY specific run and arm speed would be closer to 9/5/-2/1.

Great Control Driver.
