Customers praised these disc golf gloves for excellent grip in wet and cold conditions, with one saying they provide "maximum rotation and velocity." Many appreciated the protection from blisters and consistent feel. However, some found the fit loose and sizing runs small, while a few noted forehand throws felt different. Velcro closures may wear out before gripping surfaces.

Meh, not too bad

Not bad, but definitely a different feel. The back hand was not bad at all but throwing a forehand was much more difficult. The disc comes off the two finger grip much differently. The quality so good for the money. I am unsure how much I’ll use them but I’ll keep trying them out when it’s really cold.

Great grip and NO Blisters

The pros use rosin bags for a good, sticky grip.
I use the Friction DG disc golf glove.
It helps me hold onto the disc until that last microsecond, getting maximum rotation and velocity.
Plus, due to my job, I cannot afford blisters or calluses on my hands. Friction DG disc golf gloves provide the protection I need.

Work well

Work as well or better than bare hands. They also keep your hands warm. I am talking about the original gloves not the insulated ones. When it gets in the eighties they might be too warm. They have good tac whatever the disc they won’t slip.

a must have

feels almost natural, like the bearskin of gloves. didn’t need to use my towel once in a full snowy round. Will come in handy year round for early morning rounds and rain days.

Works well, but I've found better solutions

These friction gloves work well as far as they go, but two aspects are less than they could be: First, the fit is loose, so it's not as easy to maintain consistent grip and release. Second, the "grippiness" is less than a lot of alternatives. I use gloves in the winter, and have ended up preferring a brand of rubber-ribbed hiking gloves from my favorite outdoor store. Not only are they cheaper, but they're snug and consistently grippy on the discs for maximum torque.

Gotta go gloves

I thoroughly enjoyed using my new disco fishing gloves this weekend. I was concerned about the fence. However, my buddy Andy gave me a heads up and I went with the large and they are just fine. Able to do all shots and putts with them Highly recommend trying them

Consistent Grip

I've worn a glove on my throwing hand since I started playing disc golf 18 years ago. I used golf gloves for years to protect my fingers from abrasion but they did not work well in wet weather. I discovered Friction Gloves a few years ago and have never used the golf gloves since. With Friction gloves, the grip is consistent wet or dry. They protect my fingers from abrasion, they are very durable and are comfortable to wear.

Great gloves

They fit really well and stay on nicely. I could hardly tell I had gloves on when I threw the discs. They also have a mild amount of insulation from the cold, and a snug wrist strap. Perfect for enabling me to play during winter in the Northeast US.

Protection For Delicate Fingers

I tune, repair, and play pianos and other keyboard instruments for both livelihood and hobby. Doing so requires that my fingers have great tactile feeling and are not torn up. And I love to play disc golf. Which forms callouses and often tears up the sides of fingers. Friction Gloves are wonderful to allow me to play both things that I love! I've used the gloves for several years now, in all kinds of weather, for all kinds of throws, ALL the time. I'm 63, and my throwing is never going to be as far as the youngsters or the very fit and trained. I don't feel that the gloves take anything away from the distance or the accuracy which I have worked hard to aquire. In winter I slip into a pair of insulating liner gloves first, then wear the Frictions over the top. Have played rounds when rain or snow have reduced non-gloved people to less than optimal, while I just kept going at my regular pace. Am happy that the gloves are offered in single glove form, rather than always in pairs. My left glove will never wear out, but I go through righties pretty often. The fit is really good for my hands, and I don't switch to different size when wearing the insulating liner gloves. Like that the friction part is seamless along length of index finger. So glad that such a useful product exists. Hope they keep making them for years to come!

Great feel

I love using them, I like the added feel and grip. Especially when throwing over water or getting extra distance. But my hands tend to get moist this are real nice to be using. They also nice if the ground is damp and the towel doesn't work

they work

I have extremely dry skin, which makes my fingers very slick, plus 70 years of working with my hands, there's a lot of scar tissue. I've been using the Friction glove for a few years. Makes my grip consistent. I take it off to putt. One came apart at the wrist strap, but it was easy to sew back together. 4 lost so far.

Nice gloves work well

They work really well. Nice and grippy. Sizing is a bit small. I got large and my hands aren’t very big. Wish they had a phone touch finger but that probably would make them less tacky/grippy which would defeat the purpose.

Excellent grip

I bought a pair of these gloves last year, and just bought the right glove this time (for my dominant throwing hand). These gloves provide excellent grip in cold and/or wet conditions. They provide a moderate amount of protection against the cold (+40 degrees F) yet are thin enough to provide a good feel for the disc. The velcro closures wear out before the gripping surfaces, so I added conventional metal snaps to my original pair. Five stars for the grip and feel of the gloves, three stars for the velcro closures.
