A floating distance driver golf disc praised for water hazard protection. Customers said it "actually floats" and "does exactly what it's supposed to do." The lightweight DX plastic (145-150g) makes it flippy and ideal for turnovers. Some experienced players find it too understable, but beginners appreciate the straight flight and distance. Fast shipping noted.

They actually float!

Knew we were playing a course with water hazards, so I bought four of these as burner discs for the group. We definitely ended up proving that they float! It’s a cheaper plastic, but you can't beat the price for a water-safe disc. They did exactly what we needed them to do. Fast shipping and a great buying experience.

The Dragon soars true.

This is a must. Throws just like you want it too. It is labeled a Fairway Driver, rather than the pictured Distance in the product pic, but the numbers are the number rating is the same. Po-tay-to Po-tah-to I suppose. Anyway throws throws straight on with a slight fade at the end.

Good disc, does what it's meant to do....Float!

This disc does exactly what it's supposed to do.....save you a disc when you're on those water holes where you're likely to lose a disc! Ive used it a few times now and it flies pretty well. Definitely recommend for the peace of mind when throwing over water or any hole where water is in play.

Driver Disks

I thought I had ordered two distance drivers, but they were fairway drivers. I guess that’s on me. They are a quality product.

Confidence-builder for novices!

I've been playing for a little over a year and there's a pesky water-hole at one of my regular spots. You have no chance of making par if you're not willing to throw over the large pond. I've lost more than a few discs on this hole and the others that play along it's perimeter. A friend recommended the Innova Dragon due to the fact that IT FLOATS!!! It's only available in one weight range(145-150gm), but any heavier and you defeat the float-factor. Added bonus- being light-weight it helps with distance when playing in calm conditions or a tailwind!I like the feel of the DX plastic in my hands and the price is right($10). Yes, you don't know what color you're going to get ordering it from Amazon. I like the surprise! With a speed of 8 it's the longest disc I can throw with much accuracy. I just don't have the power yet to maximize those mega-distance drivers. They end up going as far sideways as straight(or further)! The extra distance and float-factor have made it possible for me to FINALLY make it over the pond safely. I don't have to be nervous on the teepad- just grip it and rip it! 5 stars for a disc that has truly made me a better player.Final point: The disc will indeed float, but that does you no good when the current of a swift-moving creek takes it away. Don't ask how I know this!Jae

Floats!

I had a tough shot near water and said “yolo”, and tossed the disc.. it land just passed the chains and rolled into the water… but popped right back up to the surface! The thing does float and definitely saved me from diving into the pond to find my disc. Has a little bit of weight to it and I use it as a mid range disc not as a driver, 10/10 would recommend to a friend (and have).

Water friendly

If you've ever put one in a pond, you'll want this in your bag. I bought this specifically to throw over water as it will float!! What?? How great is that?

This is for More Experienced Players

Granted, I’m a beginner, but I have discs that I’ve thrown anywhere from 250-300 feet. Definitely beginner numbers, but good enough for a short par 3. I can’t get the Dragon to do anything, and I do mean ANYTHING. Maybe there’s a trick you pick up after getting your PhD in disc golf that makes this disc travel more than 50 feet. But honestly, I get more out of my Shryke, which is marketed as a very difficult disc to master, than I get out of this beginner-to-intermediate level Dragon. That said, it’s extremely durable, and has a cool design. I’ve seen people dish out some real laser beams with this exact disc. So I know it works. I’d say there are plenty of people who will succeed with this disc. Few—maybe even none—would be beginners.

Good flippy disc that thankfully floats

I bought this when first starting out because my local course has a water hazard I was worried about hitting. I've only had to use its floating nature once, and it thankfully worked as advertised. When not in danger of water, it is a lightweight, flippy disc that will turn into a roller on backhand quite easily with enough power. Otherwise it's great for gentle turnovers.

Floats and flies straight

Bought it just for a cheap disc for water hazards. It did, in fact, float. The graphics were a bit scratched up when I got it, which was mildly disappointing, but this will get beat up anyway. I was surprised with how straight it flies. I used it on nearly every hole to put from a distance. Grip felt good.

Nice addition to a disc golf bag

I really like the feel of this disc and it performs well. This is a good mid range driver, and I like the added bonus that it floats. The disc has a rubbery feel to it, which I like, but some players may not. In my head I feel like the rubbers of the disc, makes it more durable and makes me feel less bad when I hit a tree. (which sadly is quite often.)I ordered mine in orange to make it easier to find when I get a bad release.

Good beginner disc for water shots

Good water disc, but I would recommend the Wahoo over the dragon. The Wahoo comes in standard weights, whereas the Dragon only comes in lightweight plastic. Plus, the Wahoo is R-Pro, which is a little more durable than the Dragon's DX plastic. Since it's lightweight, the -2 of the Dragon is exaggerated, and it's super flippy. I can't even throw it because it's so flippy. Probably a good disc for beginners though.

Great disc, flies straight and goes where you want it to. It's been my distance driver for awhile now. Great disc.
