Super straight all thee are awesome for beginners

This is a fantastic set of entry level discs, priced right and well made. I’m new to the activity and was told by the experienced players when I asked,“How many discs do you need to play?” Well, “You only probably need 3, but there are so many cool discs, you’ll probably end up with 15 or so.” If so that’s cool but you can start your day with these 3 and be just fine!

It's just the disc, I thought it was a full complete set with the chain as well. I gave a 3 because that was my fault for not fully checking the details. It should be presented I feel better that the chain isn't included.

First thing to note is that Innova writes the weight of the disc on the back in pencil which rubs off if you spin the disc on your finger since they write it directly in the center. This does not mean if you see 144 written on your disc that it is used. Signs of it being used are dents and scrapes in the plastic.. the DX plastic feels nice and grippy, but it's very fragile and will get banged up almost immediately.. one throw is all it takes, however it can take a beating tho--the only issue is the weights are all really low, so the Aviar sometimes gets blown over in windy shots! You may also over throw it since it's very light in the hand. I would recommend getting a heavier Aviar as soon as possible and practice on that more. It will feel just right, maybe the lighter weight is for younger players not adults. The colors vary, I got a yellow Shark and an orange leopard and a blue Aviar. One Youtuber said these newer starter packs are less quality than they used to be. I will have to see if I ever find a vintage starter pack or another company and compare the two.. Innova is what I like most tho as far as discs go.. if you luv this set, I'd recommend getting at least 5 putters in a set and a practice basket if you want to go the next step!

I've been watching disc golf for 10 years this year. I bought this starter set 3 years ago. In the past year I've really started playing more and have a whole bag of new disc. Innova is the brand I remember from first time in started watching. This is a great beginner set of disc. I lost the Leopard and immediately bought a max weight Leopard in base plastic and still love to throw it. I putt with 3 Aviars but I don't throw the shark any more. This set is light weight which is great for beginners but eventually you'll want to throw harder and farther and getting heavier disc will help. I also bought another set to give to my son. He was about 10 years old and he likes to play now too. Overall you can't go wrong with a cheaper set of disc like these to try out the sport. If you don't like it you're not out tons of money if you do like it I recommend getting all 3 of these in max weight. It's a great recreational sport that gets you out of the house. You can play casual or try and be competitive with yourself or others. It's cheaper to get into that regular ball golf not only in equipment needed but also most Disc Golf courses are free to play. Our local course is a small 18 hole course at our local city park. This a very rural area but it was really well thought out and is pretty challenging with all the OB and Mandos. Recently went to another town and played at a similar course in a park with a local. Much bigger city and way more people playing at this course and had a blast. Buy this set and get started it is well worth it!

I bought this set when a few friends and I decided to try disc golf, and I immediately got hooked. I am a big fan of Innova, and these discs fly perfectly fine for what they are.That said, this truly is a starter pack. The DX plastic wears quickly, the discs are on the lighter side, and it can be hard to get real distance with them. I rarely throw any of these anymore and have since replaced them with other models in higher quality plastics.If you are unsure whether you want to take up disc golf, this is a good and inexpensive way to learn the basics. If you already know you want to stick with the sport, I recommend doing some research and buying the discs you need in a higher quality plastic from the start.

Never played disc golf. This kit gotme started and really have fun playing. Set up a course in the pines which is challenging and great way to get some light exercise.

I know the brand, have older ones 20+ years old or so... Wanted new ones to add to the collection! Still well made, fly well, good pricing. Usually the exact weight is written on the underside if you need to know. 👍🏼😉🥏

These are quality discs. I find that they travel pretty far, and they are durable. The weight is nice, and they are easy to throw.

I needed a reasonably price disc set to play in a fun day tournament at a local disc golf course. This course has narrow fairways with heavy stands of trees and brush for borders. I had never played disc golf in a tournament. Having all three disc types definitely helped me develop my abilities. These discs are not going to compete with professional grade discs but they offer a very affordable option to introduce someone to the game of disc golf. I removed 1 star only because it would be nice if a drawstring bag could be included in the kit so there would be a way to carry and store the discs.

This is great for what it is - a cheap starter set. If you think you're getting premium plastic then you are wrong - I have spent more than this on a single disc. But, for a starter set, this is definitely worth the price and a great set for a beginner to work with. If you decide to play disc golf regularly then you can start adding to this and upgrading your disc. I will buy a one of these occasionally and give it to a friend that is just getting into disc golf. These are also made of Innova's DX plastic, which is their lowest grade of plastic. They are going to scratch, ding, etc., fairly easily. If you think you want to try disc golf then get this as it is very adequate for a beginner. If you know you are going to play disc golf regularly then it might be worth it to invest in some disc that are made of Champion or Star plastic (from Innova) or some other high-end plastic from another disc manufactuer.

Good for beginners but a premium disc is needed quickly after

From total beginner, after 4-5 rounds, and similar amount of practice, here is where I stand on these: I am over a dozen discs now (combined for me and my 16 year old son), and Leopard is my favorite and most consistent driver for sure. I liked Shark as a mid range, and was disappointed when I lost it in the woods. Aviar is okay for a putter, but when I get close - time to go for the chains - I easily prefer my heavier Judge, as Aviar is lighter and more prone to going off target. For now I will still use it for practice, and maybe for some longer putts - so far I think I may be better with it for landing putts over 50 feet close to the basket for a two putt. These are cheap discs, and as beginners we are abusing them, so plenty of nicks, but holding up okay considering the price and how many trees we hit. Hate that you can’t pick your colors, but sadly, that seems true with most discs on Amazon. Amazon, and manufacturers - FIX this for us!!! I really want all bright colors - easy to find!

The discs in this set usually weight between 145 and 158 grams each and are very light compared to what most people throw. Lighter discs is probably a good starting point for children, 16 and under, women, people who aren't going to throw with power right out of the box, people who's body isn't too flexiable, etc. Me as a over 6 foot man in athletic shape couldn't throw these more than 100' my first try. So the lower weight helps you learn. As you get better, you'll learn these lighter discs get a bit "flippy" when thrown and you might want heavier discs. 2+ months in and now I own 40+ discs and I'm throwing discs more around the 172-180 gram ranges which feels more comfortable and seems to be pretty common of a weight. If you think you're going to be addicted to disc golf or are a more athletic person who thinks they can figure out how to throw with proper form quickly, you might want to go for the more expensive 5-pack which has higher weights by default. As a beginner though, don't start throwing that Destroyer disc until you can correctly throw the Roc or the T-bird 300+ feet with good form or you might be doing a disservice to yourself. So between this set and the more expensive 5-disc set, you need to estimate how much you'll be playing disc golf and how athletic you are. I would say this set for less athletic people to smaller framed people, and the other set for people who understand throwing form a little bit and can match it with some power/speed.
