About Gotta Go Gotta Throw

The world's largest disc golf retailer — and we've been here since the beginning.

GGGT is a family-owned business based in Golden Valley, Minnesota. We've spent over 30 years building something no other disc golf retailer can claim: a complete, end-to-end presence in the sport — from the discs we manufacture to the pro tour course we operate to the carts we build by hand.

Our story

We showed up before disc golf was cool.

When Gotta Go Gotta Throw was founded in the early 1990s, disc golf was still on the fringes. Courses were popping up in parks across the country, the PDGA had been established just a decade prior, and players were passionate — but finding quality equipment was genuinely hard. There was no Amazon, no algorithm pointing you to the right disc. You had to know where to look.

We built GGGT to be that place. Starting in Golden Valley, Minnesota, we set out to be a reliable, knowledgeable source for disc golfers at every level — from the beginner who just discovered the sport to the touring pro who needs gear they can count on. More than 30 years later, that mission hasn't changed.

"Disc golf is more than just a game — it's a way of life." That's not a tagline we invented for a marketing campaign. It's what we've believed since day one, and it's what's kept us going through recessions, road construction, the rise of e-commerce, and everything in between.

Today, GGGT ships to disc golfers around the world. We operate multiple physical store locations in Minnesota, fulfill orders on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Temu, and maintain the largest disc golf inventory on the planet. But we're still family-owned, still based in Minnesota, and still staffed by people who actually play.

Our history

Three decades of growth alongside the sport.

90s
Early 1990s
Founded in Golden Valley, Minnesota
GGGT opens during a pivotal era in disc golf's growth. With few reliable sources for quality equipment, we fill a gap in the market — stocking top brands like Innova and Discraft and building a reputation for expertise and service.
🎒
Product innovation
Revolution Disc Golf Bags — the patented Disc Cradle
We introduce Revolution Disc Golf Bags featuring our patented Disc Cradle design, which minimizes wear on discs while in the bag. Praised for durability and functionality, Revolution becomes a trusted name for players from casual rounds to professional competition.
🌐
E-commerce expansion
Taking GGGT to the world
As online shopping reshapes retail, we invest heavily in our digital presence — building one of the most comprehensive disc golf e-commerce experiences anywhere, with individual disc photos, flight charts, and deep filtering tools that make it easy to find exactly the right disc.
📊
Industry tools
Joe's Universal Flight Chart
We develop Joe's Universal Flight Chart — a tool that plots discs from every major manufacturer on a single, consistent scale. It becomes the industry standard for comparing discs across brands, used by players and retailers across the sport.
Brand acquisitions
Lightning Golf Discs, Quest Discs & Fade Gear
GGGT acquires Lightning Golf Discs and Quest Applied Technologies, bringing two trusted disc lines under our banner. We also acquire Fade Gear, expanding our bag brand portfolio alongside Revolution. These moves give us exclusive product lines that no other retailer can offer.
🛒
Manufacturing
GoCart disc golf carts — built in-house
We begin custom-building GoCart disc golf carts in-house, adding a manufactured product line to our already extensive portfolio. Combined with Little Flyers — our line of hot-stamped custom mini marker discs — GGGT becomes one of the few retailers in any sport that both sells and manufactures its own gear.
🏆
The Preserve
Owning a top-5 Disc Golf Pro Tour stop
GGGT operates The Preserve, one of the top stops on the Disc Golf Pro Tour outside of Worlds — a world-class facility that hosts elite competition and serves as a pro shop operated by our team. No other major disc golf retailer owns and runs a DGPT venue at this level.
🌍
Today
The world's largest disc golf retailer
With 300,000+ discs in inventory, 45–50 brands, multiple Minnesota store locations, in-store pickup, next-day shipping, a wholesale program, and fulfillment on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, and Temu — GGGT is the most complete disc golf retail operation in the world. And we're still family-owned.

Our brands

We don't just sell disc golf. We make it.

Most retailers sell other people's products. GGGT owns the brands, manufactures the gear, and controls the quality from design to delivery. Here's what we've built:

Lightning Golf Discs
A classic disc golf brand with deep roots in the sport, now part of the GGGT family.
🎯
Quest Discs
Quest Applied Technologies — acquired and operated by GGGT, expanding our disc manufacturing capability.
🎒
Revolution Disc Golf Bags
Our original bag brand, featuring the patented Disc Cradle that minimizes disc wear. Built for serious players.
💼
Fade Gear
A recently acquired bag line that rounds out our carrying solutions for disc golfers at every level.
🛒
GoCart
Disc golf carts custom-built in-house by our team. Designed by players, for players.
🔴
Little Flyers
Custom mini marker discs hot stamped in-house. Perfect for collectors, tournaments, and custom orders.

Community & competition

We're not just in disc golf. We're part of it.

GGGT has sponsored tournaments, supported local leagues, and contributed to the growth of disc golf across the country for over three decades. We operate The Preserve — one of the premier stops on the Disc Golf Pro Tour — bringing elite competition to Minnesota and giving the world-class players a world-class venue.

Beyond the pro level, we run ace races and local events throughout the year, keeping the community connected and giving players at every skill level something to compete for. We've also developed Joe's Universal Flight Chart, a free tool used across the sport to compare discs from every manufacturer on a single, consistent scale.

And for courses, pro shops, and clubs that need to stock gear, we offer a wholesale program that no other major disc golf retailer provides — because growing the sport means making sure the places people play are equipped to serve players well.
