Disc golf discs are divided into four main categories:

Putters – Slow, straight, and highly accurate. Used for putting and short approaches.

Midranges – Balanced discs used for controlled throws and versatility.

Fairway Drivers – Designed for accuracy and moderate distance.

Distance Drivers – Built for maximum distance but require more skill and arm speed.

Beginners should focus on putters and midranges before moving to faster discs. These provide better control and faster skill development.
