Customers praised this compact disc golf bag as ideal for beginners and casual players, holding 6-8 discs comfortably with features like a water bottle holder and interior zipper pocket for valuables. Reviewers appreciated the "well thought out" design and great value. However, some noted limitations: it won't stand upright, the water bottle holder only fits standard bottles, and serious players may outgrow it quickly.

I ordered for my son for Christmas. It looks good and I'm sure he will like it. I received it fast and had no problems

solid, small

For it's size, this works well -- you can get about 7-8 discs in and there (no separators for the discs). There is a water bottle holder, which is nice, and a small insight pocket with zipper for a wallet, keys or iphone. Maybe you could also squeeze in a bar.Shoulder strap is minimal, so I mostly carry it, versus draping over shoulder, but it works... if you're getting more into d-golf and are going to want to add more discs, stash an extra layer (light jacket), or more food or water, this might be not quite enough of a bag.

Great discgolf bag! For beginners and pros!

Holds 6 discs comfortably. Has inside pocket for wallet or keys, or for some herbal remedies. Outside disc slot so you can change from your putter to driver fast. Lightweight, comfortable strap; plus nice side holder for a bottled water. Sometimes you don't want to lug around a hundred discs in a decked out bag, less is more, so you can focus your game on a few discs. I would buy it again for a friend. Gotta throw, later.

Way better than expected

I've been playing disc for 5 years now, at least twice a week. This bag easily carries my favorite 6 discs plus my putter. The water bottle holder on the outside is perfect but the zip pouch inside the bag is my favorite feature. It easily fits my iPhone and keys. If it's raining outside I just slip my phone and key fob into a ziplock baggie before putting them in the pouch. This isn't a bag that will last forever, but for the price it is exactly what I was looking for. Yes I would suggest buying this bag.

Great product for the price.

This bag certainly was well worth the price. There are probably nicer bags out there, but this is a great simple bag with lots of additional features and thought put into it's function and use. I love the extra inner zipped pocket for storage (keys, wallet, etc). Also, The water bottle holder is very nice with the top closure and grommet hole on the bottom for sweat. The flap over the discs is also very nice. It zips on each side and has Velcro for closure, but also has a strap to hold it open during play. Overall, this is a fantastic product.

Perfect beginner bag

Just started playing disc golf and this bag was recommended by a friend. It was a perfect choice. Seems well made and durable. I can fit 7 discs in it. There is a spot for a small water bottle that I haven’t used. It has a large pocket I use for my iPhone and an inside small pocket with a zipper I put my keys in. For the price and quality I highly recommend.

Great

Got this back from my boyfriend he goes disc golfing on the weekends he doesn’t have a lot of disks so the space is perfect. It is really really small so somebody who has more than five discs I would not recommend getting this. It does hold water bottles on the side which is awesome because he likes to take a beer or two and if you only have one or two desks you can hide a beer inside of it. I love the price the material is great And it hasn’t fallen apart yet easy to use easy to carry and that’s the whole point I would definitely recommend this bag to anybody who discs on a part-time basis just for fun and doesn’t have 1 million discs to carry around

A Low-Cost, Compact Bag that's ideal for Most Golfers

The Discraft Weekender is a very nice bag that offers a functional capacity in a compact size. I've found that it's capable of holding more than 6 discs as stated in the description. I currently have it loaded with 8 discs consisting of a mix of drivers, mid-range, approach, and putter. I've rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because an additional external storage pocket on the side of the bag opposite the water bottle pocket would be a welcome addition, even for a modest price increase. Also, the securing method for the top flap could use a redesign, but it's a trivial feature anyway. To rebut some comments from other reviewers:"Beginner/Starter bag", "Occasional use" - This bag is suitable for anyone of all skill levels. I'm a 20+ year veteran of the sport and I can tell you that it's absolutely not necessary to carry a larger capacity bag, regardless of experience level. This bag will allow you to carry all the discs you'll need to play most 18-hole courses. Sure, there's nothing wrong with pulling a cart around that's loaded with 50 discs, but it's just for show and you look ridiculous. However, if you prefer a bag that has a bit of a larger capacity and/or different features, then maybe this isn't the bag for you."Falls over", "Won't stand up" - No, this bag won't reliably stand up on its own, nor was it necessarily designed to do so. The bag is taller and wider than it is deep, so of course it will be unstable when resting on it's bottom. It's not a problem though as the discs won't fall out of the bag unless you throw the bag around.

OK bag but doesn't serve much of a purpose.

OK bag, but nothing to write home about. The velcro that's supposed to hold the flap open when in use, is useless. It doesn't stay stuck! The water bottle holder is not very big. Just holds a smaller diameter bottle, which is actually OK for me. Of course the bag doesn't stand up, so when it flops over the wrong way on a hill everything dumps out.I've already replaced this after about 2 months use. It might be handy for some real short par 3 courses, but it doesn't hold enough of anything for a long day of disc golf. So far the material has held up just fine. My daughter uses a DVD bag that she happened to have around the house for her small set of discs, and it works perfect. Best to save the money and buy something a little bigger with more needed space and features.

Great!

For the price this is a GREAT bag, very happy with my purchase. Minimalistic, sure, but everything is well thought out from the grommet hole in the drink pouch to the velcro strap that holds the top flap out of the way for unencumbered access. The bottom has a plastic insert to help keep its shape, the shoulder strap is long enough to wear on the opposite shoulder if you choose. They obviously put a lot of thought in the design and probably refined it with feedback from real players by the looks of it. For a 6-8 disc bag, which is all I ever need, it's not lacking a thing in terms of design or quality imo

It's a very good quality small bag

It's a very good quality small bag. It is small though. It will not hold a 32oz Nalgene, just skinny water bottles. Don't get a small bag like this if you're planning on practicing a lot of throws that require a lot of discs. I bought this bag, to very quickly outgrow it (in the course of a week). I'm now using the Discraft Tournament Bag as my bag and this small weekender bag I've got for friends who might want to pick up a game with me who don't have discs on hand. I'd say the biggest con of this bag is there isn't a spot to carry your towel, plan on getting a towel clip to go with it.

My first bag

This is just as others have stated. I find it holds 7 discs fine and would hold maybe 2 more. Water holder is the only disappointing item as it will only hold a 16oz water bottle. Material is durable and has held up so far. There is a small zipper compartment on the inside. The top can be rolled up and velcroed in place. For the size and number of discs the strap which has a sliding cushion is just fine. When I set it on the ground it does stay up and if it falls over the discs inside stay put.

Great buy! Fits 9 or so discs (maybe more), has cupholder, adjustable strap and zipper pocket for...

Great buy! For the $12 (approx) this was, it's a great bag. Doesn't seem outstanding quality, but it's perfectly fine for $12!Comfortably fits 6 discs, with plenty of room to spare. I'd say it would fit 9 tightly.Has an inside zipper pocket to keep your valuables, super useful!Has a velcro strap to keep the top flap open, so you don't have to keep opening it when you're actively playing. Cool feature!Has a cup holder that seems fairly average size. The strap is adjustable and feels pretty comfy (as far as straps go).Overall I'm very satisfied with this product :)

Great Starter Bag

This is my first disc bag and I'm liking it. I'm a beginner (been playing a little under 1 year) and it is great for me. I typically carry 4 discs. The bag holds 4 discs easily, but I imagine 6 or 7 would be the comfortable limit. The bag has an inner pocket that can hold your phone and keys, but not much more. The water bottle holder is big enough for a typical water bottle, but probably not for a large re-usable bottle. The bag is great for a casual player, but I imagine there could be some durability issues under HEAVY use. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Nice Simple Bag

Nice basic bag that does what you need.I've been using this bag for a couple of months now and it does the job. It will hold 7 discs in the main compartment with 1 in the front (outside) pocket. I'm not sure that you could get 10 discs in this bag, 7 is snug. It also has a couple nice features to mention. The interior zipper pocket will hold a wallet, keys, or small bottle of sunscreen or bug spray. Let me clarify you can keep 1 of those items, maybe 2 not all of them. Also the top unzips and can be Velcro'd out of the way. The bottle pouch holds your standard size bottles no problem, but a Nalgene or something large won't really fit.My only complaint/observation is that the bag always tips over forward when it is set on the ground. I realize this isn't really the bags fault given its small size.Good bag and you can't beat the price. Worth it!

Good with two flaws

This is a nice little bag made of quality nylon. There are 2 things about it that keep it away from 5 stars.1. I find it hard to put the putter back into the putter pocket because its so tight.2. There is a square of the hook side of velcro on the back that is used to hold the lid-flap open. I didn't line up the 2 pieces of velcro exactly right and the hooks caught on my shirt and pulled up some of the threads on the fabric damaging my nice performance fabric shirt. This could have been designed with a little more thought.

Nice little bag

Nice little bag. I am fairly new to the game and just recently acquired enough discs to make purchasing a bag make sense. Pretty small and easy to carry. Good bang for your buck. The only downsides is the water bottle hold and the zipper pouch. I can barely fit my keys in the pouch (was hoping for phone wallet and keys) and even then I can actually zip up the pouch. The water bottle holder on the outside is made from the same material as the bag without any sort of elastic. You can get a standard size water bottle in there but nothing more. I ended up using that pouch for my phone/wallet/keys and put the water bottle with my discs in the main area.

Great Starter Bag for the Price

I started getting a collection of discs and needed a bag go carry them. I got this bag because of the price initially. It was also my first bag. Currently I have about 6 discs and utilize the putter front pouch. The space with 6 discs is not bad. I've played with it (cross the body) on the whole time a couple of times with no issues. It doesn't get into the way while playing like that.I do enjoy the inside pocket. It keeps keys and cell phone very handy. The zipper on that small pocket guarantees stuff won't fly out. The water bottle holder is another addition I wanted. Its always a good idea go have some water with you when you play. I found that the holder works great with the small 16 oz bottles.I've seen players with the bigger bags and feel that this bag is perfect for new players (like me) or someone that needs a small bag for a quick game. I may end up with a bigger bag since I may collect more discs.

Quality beginner bag, some minor annoyances

As of right now, I only have 9 discs that I use regularly. They all fit rather nicely in the bag, but it is a little bit tight due to my putter being slightly thicker than most. It is an old disc, so if I had another style, I'm sure all of them would fit adequately with enough room to sort through them without having to pull them all out. The front pocket is shown as another slot for a disc, but I find it better suited for a bag of trail mix or other snacks. In any case, the pocket is just as well made as the main compartment. The drawstring that cinches down around your water bottle is a little weak, with the string already starting to come apart. A minor annoyance, but easily remedied. The main drawback is the shoulder sling. The plastic piece that connects the non-adjusting side to the bag has no texture or other method of blocking strap shifting, so after 30 seconds of wearing the bag, it slides so the piece is positioned vertically instead of horizontally. This might eventually be a problem for the strap, but so far it's just an irritation. All in all, this is a good quality bag for a beginner, enough to hold several starter discs, but be wary of a few design choices that might interfere with optimum performance.

Small

Great quality bag, but it's smaller than I expected. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it's advertised to hold up to 10 discs, but I can barely fit 9 (8 in the main compartment, one in the front resulting in a very tight fit. Maybe I have fat discs, but I'm pretty sure they're standard...)Also, I'm always baffled by water bottle sleeves that don't fit Nalgene bottles. Nalgenes are so widely used it seems like more companies would accommodate them considering that an extra half inch would still let it hold every other water bottle too... With that said, this does not fit a Nalgene.Anyway, like I said, it's still a well made, quality bag that I expect will withstand years of punishment.

Great bag for beginners!

I picked this bag up because of its low price. As a beginner i don't have that many disc, so this bags capacity is great. I have 6 discs in it (including putter in the pocket) and i could probably squeeze in 2 more. The bag feels pretty sturdy and is made of thick fabric and has a thin plastic sheet reinforcing the bottom. It has a small pocket with a zipper on the inside, it might be a stretch to fit a phone in there but keys fit nicely. My only complaint is the water bottle holder will only fit your standard size bottle like you'd buy in a pack at the store. Overall it's a great bag for beginners if you get tired of toting around all your discs in your hand like I did.
