Destroyer Meets Shryke
Designing a high-speed driver that is stable and torque resistant, but has minimal fade is no easy feat. Innova Co-founder and Disc Designer, Dave Dunipace, nailed it with this one. The Charger is a straight-finishing, 13-speed driver that can be thrown at full power without worrying about the disc flipping over. The Charger fills a gap between the Destroyer and the Shryke. For players looking for the consistency of the Destroyer with less fade, try the Charger. For those looking for the big distance of the Shryke, but in a disc that can better handle the wind, try the Charger. Nate Sexton says that the disc has a "nice balance of gentle flip and fade." With all the positive feedback we've received from our Team members, we can tell that the Charger is going to become one of our most popular molds.

Highly praised distance driver disc golf disc that excels for forehand throws. Customers said it's "the best and most reliable disc" with a gentle s-curve flight pattern. Ideal for intermediate players with 280-300 distance capabilities. Shoppers appreciate the I-dye design and accurate weight specifications.

For my forehand abilities (280-300 distance) this is the best and most reliable disc with a gentle s-curve.

Awesome I-dye Innova charger -- they hit the weight I wanted and it's completely fit the slot of the disc I lost!

Big distance, a bit unpredictable

You get the distance of a destroyer and Shryke, but without the overstability of the destroyer and the unpredictability the Shyrke can have in the wind. The Star Charger feels great in the hand with some high speed turn when thrown flat , but it will usually fight back with a gentle fade at the end of its flight. This disc will go a mile if you get it up to speed. I liken it to a beefed up Beast. I’d try a 167-169 g if you’re arm isn’t quite a 12 but you want more distance.

Disc is still kind of beefy for me. Went 167 GStar to make it as neutral as possible. Hopefully will break in a bit. I wish that the actual disc color, stamp, weight was available for the whole inventory like several other sites have. I am at the point I like to pick out my exact disc.

This is a great driver. Innova outdid themselves with this one. I love it! Very consistent flight. The Gstar plastic feels great and flies great!

Innova Star Charger Review

Cool color, nice feel in the hand. Flight is straight when thrown hard. Nice controllable fade. Similar to the Destroyer, as advertised. Fun disc!

Great disc from the 1st throw.

I was hoping the numbers didn't lie and it was going to be true with the flight. So far it's done what it was suppose to do in my mind and has a spot in my bag now. The disc did have the high speed turn like a beat in destroyer and with the weight I selected it is perfect for my throwing style. I've been playing for 20 plus years and have tried numerous molds from Innova and have been disappointed before, but this by far is my new go to destroyer replacement.

Decent so far

Flies fast, nice glide, starts out pretty overstable. Hoping it will settle down a bit when beaten in. Feels great in my hand, more domey than expected but that's a good thing. I think with some beat in this disc will sing, until then, it works well on am anny line or in a head wind. At this point actually more overstable than my destroyers, but I could see it beating in to that sweet spot.... time will tell.
