The Diamond Light is the choice of disc for beginners, children and people who don´t throw very far. It is produced only in weights between 145g-159g. which makes it easy to throw and control. It has an understable flight path with good glide and small fade.

I haven’t had the chance to throw this yet since we have snow on the ground, but I love the opto diamond and wanted to try it in a different plastic. The stamp color varies, but I got a great blue on blue color way! Can’t beat this price.

a bit stiff seems more like the Innova DX plastics. I have two other Diamonds in the Opto series plastic that fly much better, nice and straight with a good flip midway and low fade.

Super straight shooter! I’ve bet. Playing for 4 months and the Diamond is one of my favorites. As I play with other new players I let them throw the Diamond Disc and they start throwing so well they start believing in themselves too! This game is for everyone!
Best flying disc
As a beginner who has tried about every understable fairway driver out there, the Diamond easily goes the farthest for me. I have the Diamond in Retro Burst, Opto and Gold. The Retro Burst seems to be the most stable of the 3. All are pretty close in weight but the Retro Burst has a flatter top which may account for the added stability and slightly less glide. The glide on all of the Diamonds is great, but the extra dome on the Gold and Opto plastic does give them a little more glide it seems.
I absolutely love this disc, it's my favorite go to for distance and easy to throw. The weight is light, which is perfect if you don't have a lot of upper body strength.

Needed something for getting started and this is it. An easy and forgiving fairway driver, thats a great driver for a newbie.
I bought three of these disc for my fellow disc golfer friends. I have had a diamond disc inOpto air plastic and it is the farthest throwing disc in my bag. Have been using it for two years.we are all in our late sixties and this disc is great for hyzer flips and straight flights with a small fade. It is also good for throwing an anhyzer and will hold that for most of the distance and then fade back a little. It is not a good disc for people who can throw hard like my son, it will just burn over and turn into a roller. Good for beginners as long as you learn to hyzer throw the disc and watch it flip up.
I love this disc. One of my friends had it and let me throw it so I had to get one. I got the purple and it looks great and delivery was fast.

I have several Diamonds weighted from 152 to 170. I have a slow arm speed and thee discs are a perfect match for my game. When thrown properly, they remain straight and accurate at 200+ feet. A softer spin will allow these to flip and turn a corner for more challenging fairways.
This was my first driver and I loved it. The flight was straight and had good distance. The opto plastic has been great even after hitting numerous trees or still looked newer than some of my other new discs. Sadly I lost it but will probably get another if my other drivers don't feel the same. Highly recommend for new players!
Only threw this disc once but I have to admit, it looked pretty flying right into the middle of the creek. Felt good in the hand and will definitely stay on a hyzer if realsed that way. Whoops.
So I just unboxed my disc and it is embossed saying 163 grams, so the product description might be misleading. I am excited about this though, since I wasn't as excited about how light it was supposed to be. Just a warning for those looking specifically for the under 160 gram weights.
Set yourself up with a minor hyzer and let it rip. The angle of the hyzer will get you more left or more right. I’m a LHBH player and this will go left with slight hyzer and needs a much steeper angle to go right. Saves my bacon on most courses that are designed for righties.

I am 100% serious , this disc is awesome for my style of play. I have no forehand. This disc will HyzerFlip right out of the box. It will go right if thrown with a little ani. It's really an all around driver for most situations. If you want something that will flip for you right out of the box and can fly straight and far look no further. The plastic is durable as well! I will be buying back ups of this disc because it's my go to!

Excellent driver that can be thrown flat and straight with very little fade. If there is a headwind the fade changes from left to right. The plastic is very tough and resistant to damage
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The opto diamond completely changed my game. I have been playing for about a year and have a slower arm speed and the diamond is my go-to disc. Has a nice turn and a slight fade at the end if thrown on a little hyzer. If I throw this flat it has a huge turn and no fade at all. If you have a slower arm speed and want to throw far this is your ticket.
